Acts as liaison between client area, technical organization,
and other affected areas by planning, conducting,
and directing the analysis of highly complex business
problems to be solved through strategic eCommerce-based
solutions (e.g., Intranet and Internet).
Functions as business systems analyst for large and
complex projects. Responsible for eliciting and facilitating
working sessions to gather requirements; analyzing
information gathered to produce detailed business
requirements/specifications; and conducting walkthroughs
of the produced documents with impacted technical/system
groups, testing groups, servicing groups, and business
groups.
May act as an internal consultant within technology
and business groups by evaluating current processes
and recommending new e-commerce solutions that reduce
costs or extend current capabilities. Tools used to
evaluate current processes may be industry tools or
self-developed. May act as an external consultant
as a participant in consortia groups. May work directly
with senior management and is considered a high-level
expert.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum 7-10 years experience as a business systems
analyst or business analyst, ideally with experience
in transactional web applications.
* Previous experience documenting functional requirements
for a variety of software applications is required.
* Able to work and learn independently.
* Able to take complex problems, and decompose them
into well organized, detailed descriptions to facilitate
problem solving.
* Able to plan and facilitate requirement-gathering
sessions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Able to author detailed business requirements and
functional requirements documents using a variety
of structured techniques (e.g., business rules, decision
tables, UML modeling).
* Experience writing Use Case Specifications is required.
PREFERRED SKILLS
* Expertise in the entire MS Office suite, including
Word, Excel, and Visio.
* Experience writing business requirements in RUP
methodology artifacts, e.g. detailed use cases, business
rules, supplementary specifications, and UI screen
specifications.
* Experience working with Rational RequisitePro and
Enterprise Architect
* Financial services industry background
* Knowledge of UI paradigms is highly desirable
- Quality Assurance Analyst
We are looking for someone who:
* Is a talented, responsible, lead QA engineer who
is passionate about product quality
* Loves QA methodology, best practices and test-driven
development
* Is enough of a developer in multiple languages/platforms
to be dangerous (or at least to test our products
well)
* Thrives in an environment with lots of change, who
is excited to learn and likes to test their mettle
* Can multi-task and *own* the QA process for all
three of this company*s product suite
* Excels at picking up new languages and technologies
as the product suite expands even further
The Opportunity:
* Work as the lead QA engineer at a company that already
has traction in the market and (effectively) thousands
of volunteer testers
* Establish process and best practices with the in-house
support and resources to "do it right"
* Promote an environment where the entire team creates
reliable, bug-free code - the first time around
* Help build a small, top-notch QA team and establish
and refine QA best practices
* Collaborate with a team of productive, smart, energetic,
passionate engineers
Responsibilities:
* Test multiple products on multiple operating systems
and their integration
* Work directly with developers to author test cases
* Establish a rapport with our engineering team and
create a QA process that they buy into and support
* Identify, report and track issues in a bug tracking
system
* Perform manual testing as required
* Evaluate, select and integrate third party testing
tools
* Author code to automate written test cases to aid
in regression testing
* Realistically manage the tradeoffs between quality
control and the need to ship product to hungry customers
* Find new ways to leverage our numerous users to
identify bugs and improve product quality
Qualifications:
* Previous experience building a QA discipline at
a startup from the ground up
* Strong work ethic
* Superlative analytical skills
* Take pride in your work
* Coding/testing experience with most of the following:
HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript and Ruby on Rails, Python
and various web technologies
Nice to have:
